Mumbai Serial Blasts Condemned

Date:
14 July 2011

Press Statement

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

Mumbai Serial Blasts Condemned

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the bomb blasts which have killed 21 persons and injured 141 in Mumbai city. These three serial blasts are the latest terrorist attack in Mumbai. The perpetrators of this attack have the calculated design to disrupt normal life and sow discord among the people. Their efforts have to be foiled.

It is disturbing that the forces behind the recent bomb blasts in different parts of the country have not been identified and apprehended. No efforts should be spared to track down the culprits of the Mumbai blasts.

The CPI(M) conveys its heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed and extends its sympathy with those wounded in the attack. The Polit Bureau appeals to all sections of the people in Mumbai to remain united and rebuff this nefarious onslaught.
